District dues for 2010 should be sent to Mike Ruleman, 2107 W. Beverley St. Staunton VA 24401, payable to 'Woodrow Wilson District'. Dues are $1.00 per active member, based on the club's January 1st, 2010 membership roll.

Club Membership Night

If your club has a membership night, the District will give your club $50 towards the expenses of your event. Call District Treasurer Mike Ruleman at 540-885-2215 for your club's check or ask any member of the cabinet. This money is available once every year.

    The New Hope Ruritan Club celebrated their 70th anniversary on March 5, 2009 at their newly renovated New Hope Community Center. The club was chartered in 1939 with 30 members. Vernon Davis was the last charter member to decease in 2008. The club currently has 24 Active, 7 Associates, 1 Honorary, and 3 Ruritan Forever members. Active members unable to attend were Jasper Davis and John Flora.

    Kelly Chapman Honored with 58 Years Perfect Attendance

    Past National Ruritan President, Kelly Chapman (center) was honored at the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the New Hope Ruritan Club with a 58 year perfect attendance pin by the 2009 National President, Donald Worrell and 2009 Club President, Carol Flora. Additional members receiving consecutive perfect attendance pins were: Lawrence Hildebrand, 48 years and Curtis Coffman, 9 years. Other members receiving non-consecutive perfect attendance pins were: Harlan Eller, 51 years; John Western, 34 years; Robert Herman, Charles Fretwell Jr., and Paul Wampler, 29 years; Jasper Davis, 22 years; Linda Wheatley, 18 years; Joe Meek, 17 years; John Flora, 15 years; George Bailey, 12 years; Bob Wise, 11 years; Dave Whetzel, 4 years; Ron Reick, 3 years, Carol Flora and Jim Whetzel, 2 years, Franklin Lam and Sylvia Herman, 1 year.
